What is NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback?
NeurOptimal® is an advanced neurotechnology designed to train the brain to function at peak performance levels. This innovative form of neurofeedback is not a medical treatment, but rather a training for the brain.

- NeurOptimal® is a non-linear form of Dynamical Neurofeedback® that uses proprietary mathematical algorithms that acts as a mirror for your CNS.
- NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback is neuro-technology that provides training for the brain, which allows the brain to operate at its very best. This method of therapy is strategically created to talk directly to the central nervous system of the patient and serves as a natural bio-hack on the brain. The result leaves the patient feeling happier, calmer, and equipped to live life much more efficiently.
- It monitors your brain’s electrical signals through sensors, detects the ‘difference’ or changes in the electrical signals in terms of Duration, Intensity, Frequency, or Shifts (DIFS), and creates interruptions in an audio/visual stream that alerts your brain to these changes in real time (256 times per second).
- NeurOptimal® provides your brain with information (the audio/visual interrupts) about its own activity, and your brain decides what to do with that information. Since we are always learning from changes in our environment (information) and intrinsically move away from discomfort, the training teaches your brain to reorient to the present moment at a non-conscious level through our orienting response. Since 2009, Shellie Lorenzen has specialized in holistic, non-invasive healing as a Licensed Massage Therapist, Medical Massage Therapist, and Neurofeedback Trainer. Inspired by overcoming her own serious health challenges—including autoimmune disorders and central nervous system damage—she embraced natural methods after conventional treatments fell short. Today, she offers NeurOptimal® neurofeedback and massage therapy, blending advanced technology with compassionate care.
